Caution for 'home alone' parents
A couple who left their children, aged seven and 11, home alone while they went on a Caribbean holiday, have been cautioned by police.

The man and woman, from Shortstown, near Bedford, left the children, while they holidayed in Curacao.

Social services are continuing to monitor the family which was reunited on Wednesday evening, Beds Police said.

The children were placed with relatives until their parents returned from their week-long holiday.

Police issued the caution for "abandonment" under the Child Cruelty Act.
