Pop star Peter Andre who was taken to hospital with suspected viral meningitis has been discharged. Australian Andre, 34, husband of glamour model Jordan, was taken to East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, on 22 April after he fell ill at their Ockley home.
Jordan, whose real name is Katie Price, maintained a vigil at his bedside.
She was due to give evidence on Monday in the trial of her former nanny who denies falsely claiming benefits, but the Lewes Crown Court case was halted.
Joanne Hillman, 33, of Cowley Drive, Brighton, was granted bail until 8 October, when her trial is set to go ahead.
Internet death rumours
On Thursday, a spokeswoman for the couple said: "Peter Andre has been discharged from East Surrey Hospital this morning.
"He now needs to be left alone with his family to recover."
Andre underwent numerous tests in hospital, including a brain scan.
He began feeling ill during a promotional tour of the US earlier in April and spent a week in bed with a stomach complaint on his return.
Earlier this week, the spokeswoman was forced to deny internet rumours that he was dead.
Jordan has two children - Harvey and one-year-old Junior. She is expecting another baby with Andre.
