Vigil as asbestos ruling is made
Asbestos removal
Mesothelioma is an asbestos-related cancer
Five women from the North West whose husbands died of a cancer linked to asbestos held a vigil at the House of Lords as it made a landmark ruling.

Thousands of widows will not receive full compensation for their husbands' deaths from mesothelioma, Law Lords ruled on Wednesday.

There will be a compensation limit in cases involving several employers.

Four women from Manchester and one from Liverpool travelled to support other families of victims in London.

Margaret Wolfarth, from Liverpool, whose husband, Phil, died from mesothelioma, had said that the families would continue their fight if the decision went against them.
