Public meetings have been arranged for people to find out more about expansion plans at London Ashford Airport. An action group is actively opposing the multi-million pound proposals for the airport, based in Lydd, Kent, to handle two million passengers by 2014.
Its owners will hold presentations during April and May in New Romney, Hythe, Folkestone, Ashford, Rye in East Sussex, and at the airport itself.
They said they are keen to operate an "open-door policy" over the proposals.
Zaher Deir, the airport's managing director, said: "We have always been very frank and open about our development plans and we will be more than happy to discuss any concerns residents might have."
Opponents to the airport's expansion and the introduction of jet aircraft claim the environment and local residents' quality of life could be adversely affected.
They have started petitions and played recordings of jet noise and handed out earplugs in nearby villages.
