Rail service's punctuality drops
One train
Upgrading the fleet was blamed for a drop in trains running on time
Trains run by operator One suffered the worst drop in punctuality of any rail company, according to the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR).

The Norwich to London service saw the number of trains running on time fall by 6.2% over a three month period.

The figures compared July to September this year with the same time in 2004.

One spokesman Peter Meades said problems with tracks and upgrading the mainline fleet lay behind the punctuality figures.

London to the Essex coast operator c2c had one of the best records for punctuality, with 94.1% of its trains running on time.
