Sharon Howard with Mr Page and brothers Taylor (l) and Mason |
Classmates of two young Cornwall brothers who died in the Asian tsunami will unveil a special memorial to them on Tuesday. Taylor Howard, six, and brother Mason, eight, from St Ives, died on the Thai island of Phuket along with their mother's fiance David Page.
Since the deaths a candle has burned in the entrance hall at their school, St Uny Primary near St Ives, in memory.
Now a plaque of Delabole slate will be blessed by Bishop of Cornwall Bill Ind.
'Profound understanding'
Bishop Bill said it would be difficult for the children involved in the ceremony.
He said: "The fact that it is children makes people think that perhaps we shouldn't be doing it.
"But I think that children have a very profound understanding and sense of loss.
"I hope that the service and the feeling of the whole will be such that it helps them to grow."
Members of the Howard family, including the boys' mother Sharon, 37, will also attend the ceremony.
