Security guards belonging to the RMT first went on strike in August |
The Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union said the commitment to strike action by Eurostar station security guards is "absolutely rock solid". Around 130 RMT members - locked in a pay dispute with their employer Chubb - are striking at London Waterloo and Ashford International in Kent.
The industrial action involves two walk-outs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday - a total of four hours per day.
Eurostar said services were unaffected with trains running as normal.
The security guards staged previous strikes in August which Eurostar also said did not affect services.
Offer rejected
The new action was due to take place between 0530 and 0800 BST and 1630 and 1800 BST on Friday and Saturday, and 0800 and 1030 BST and 1630 and 1800 BST on Sunday.
A Eurostar statement said the strikes would have "no impact on services or travellers as contingency plans have been put in place with trained and security-cleared Chubb guards".
A Chubb spokesman said the company had offered a one-off payment of 200 per officer in addition to a 3% increase in basic pay which totalled an increase of 4.25% in 2005. The RMT rejected the offer.
Paul Charles, Eurostar communications director, said: "It is for Chubb and the RMT to resolve this issue as soon as possible."
