The RMT union said the two days of strike action was a success |
Security guards working at Eurostar railway stations are to stage more strikes in a dispute over pay. The Rail Maritime and Transport (RMT) union said 130 of its members will walk out at different times for three days, starting next Friday.
The guards, who are employed by Chubb, are based at London Waterloo and Ashford International in Kent.
They went on strike for three days last month but Eurostar said the action did not affect train services.
A Chubb spokesman said an earlier problem over union recognition had been resolved and it had offered a one-off payment of 200 per officer in addition to a 3% increase in basic pay which totalled an increase of 4.25% in 2005.
