The brick went through the windscreen and hit Mr Little's chest

Michael Little, 53, died after the brick was thrown through his windscreen and hit him on the chest on the M3 on the Surrey/Berkshire border last month.

The mobile police station will be in the form of a police command vehicle, based in Camberley town centre.

Police hope it will encourage local people to come forward with information about Mr Little's death, which they are treating as murder.

Mr Little, from Hornchurch in Essex and a driver for Ford, was hit by the brick as he drove north along the M3 at about 0030 GMT on 21 March.

DNA samples taken

Police think the brick was thrown from a footbridge spanning the motorway at Camberley.

The blow to the chest caused heart failure, but he still managed to pull his 44-ton truck onto the hard shoulder, in a move which saw him heralded as a hero by police who say it prevented a pile-up.

The team investigating the murder have taken DNA samples from selected men in the area after getting forensic evidence from the scene.

The mobile police station will be in Camberley town centre on Thursday and Friday, staffed by officers from 1200-2200 BST each day.

Leaflets appealing for help to find the killer will also be handed out to shoppers in Camberley.
