Police say a brick was thrown from a footbridge over the motorway

Michael Little, 53, died after he was hit by a brick when driving along the M3 near Camberley on the Surrey-Berkshire border on Friday.

Police think the brick was thrown from a footbridge over the motorway.

Management at Ford in Dagenham, where Mr Little had worked for 26 years, have offered the reward.

Mr Little, who lived in Hornchurch in Essex, managed to bring his 44 ton lorry under control after the incident and pull it onto the hard shoulder, but died from the injuries he sustained.

Family lays flowers

A post-mortem examination showed he suffered heart failure after a blow to the chest.

Surrey Police, who are treating the death as murder, praised his actions in controlling the vehicle, saying it prevented further accidents and calling him "professional to the end".

Members of the lorry driver's family laid flowers at the footbridge near the scene of accident on Wednesday.

Police said Ford managers had offered the �25,000 reward to anyone providing information leading to the conviction of the person or people responsible for Mr Little's killing.

Officers still want to hear from anyone who saw the incident, which happened in the early hours of Friday morning, between junctions three and four of the M3.
