Commuters will be asked about train cleanliness |
Central Trains will conduct a survey of its passengers this week in a bid to improve services. In the company's first survey of commuters, more than 200,000 people will be asked to give their opinions.
Surveys will be distributed at key stations during the week and will contain questions about how people feel about the cleanliness of trains, value for money, reliability and communication.
To encourage people to participate, completed surveys will be entered into a draw to win an annual season ticket and CD player.
We want to open up a channel of communication with the passengers |
Once all of the information is collated, a series of regular newsletters will be distributed.
The company's managing director, Nick Brown, said: "Central Trains passengers have strong feelings about the rail service and we want to hear what they are.
"We want to open up a channel of communication with the passengers we serve on a regular basis, which will see us giving them valuable, up to date information on how the service is run."
The firm services several major cities throughout central England and Wales, including Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff, Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, Liverpool, Manchester, Norwich, Nottingham and Sheffield.
