Search for missing teacher in Bath
Jane Longhurst
'Distressing and extremely strange'
The search for a missing school teacher has extended to Bath after it was found she had been house hunting in the city.

Police fear Jane Longhurst may have been abducted after she vanished two weeks ago from her home in Brighton.

The 31-year-old and her partner had been considering a move to Bath where she is known to have connections.

Jane, originally from Reading in Berkshire, was last seen on the morning of Friday 14 March.

Her disappearance is said to be out of character.

45 detectives

Her family have appealed for information and her partner, Malcolm Sentance previously told the BBC: "Relationships with me and with her family and friends are absolutely brilliant.

"She is just a normal, run-of-the-mill, happy professional, working woman. So it is really distressing and extremely strange."

Miss Longhurst works at Uplands School in Brighton teaching children with special needs.

She was last seen at about 1400 GMT on 14 March when two former pupils said they bumped into her in Beaconsfield Road in Brighton.

Sussex Police have assigned 45 detectives to work on the investigation.

Anyone with information should contact Sussex Police.
