Princess Anne: Women's Institute date
Princess Anne has been visiting some of the organisations she is associated with in Cornwall.

The Princess Royal looked around the Save the Children charity shop in Redruth and then opened the new 250,000 Cornwall Federation of Women's Institutes headquarters in Truro.

As an associate member she is regularly updated about news from her local branch in Gloucestershire.

Her final stop was at Par Docks near St Austell, where she saw new clay driers costing 7m, and the Seafarers' Mission building.

She presented Leslie Smith with a certificate congratulating him on 30 years service to the mission.

Mr Smith said: "The last time she came down was in 1986 when she opened the new chapel.

"It's always a great pleasure to see her because she is so vital and she's full of fun and yet she is hard working.

"She is a great supporter of the mission."
