Princess bruised after garden mishap
Princess Royal
The Princess did not visit hospital after the accident
The Princess Royal has appeared in public with a large bruise on her head.

Princess Anne was injured during a gardening accident at her Gatcombe Park estate, near Stroud.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said she was hit by a falling branch as she pruned trees.

The injury happened two weeks ago when a falling branch struck her on the head.

The spokesman said she had not been knocked unconscious and did not visit hospital or require a doctor.

The bruise was visible as the Princess spoke at Horticulture in Focus, an industry conference in London, on Wednesday.
