The funeral of an American artist murdered in an east London park is to be held on Tuesday.

Margaret Muller, 27, was stabbed to death as she jogged in Victoria Park, Hackney, on 3 February this year.

Her body has been taken back to the US by her family and the funeral will take place in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Police investigating the case held London's largest crime reconstruction on 3 March, a month to the day of the murder.

Some 93 people returned to the scene to retrace their steps while 100 officers and 100 support staff helped map their positions.

Since then two men have been arrested.

A 46-year-old man from Whitechapel, east London, was held on 18 March and has been bailed to return to an east London police station on 29 April.

On 6 March, an 18-year-old man was arrested at his home in Hackney, east London, and was released on bail to return in April.

Miss Muller moved to London from her home in Falls Church, Virginia in 1998 and studied and worked at the Slade School of Fine Art.

She supplemented her income by painting and had a studio in the converted factory in Hackney in which she lived.
