Bird menace ruffles councillors' feathers
Pigeon
The best plan may be to move the pigeons to new breeding grounds
Fed-up Trowbridge councillors have called in a charitable pigeon advisory service to end the misery caused by the Wiltshire town's pigeon population.

They say the unwelcome birds create mess, ruin floral displays and roost in rooftops leaving trails of mess.

Members of PICAS - the pigeon advisory service - have visited the town and discussed what measures could be taken.

The group's preferred advice is to lure the creatures away from the town to new roosting and feeding areas.

West Wiltshire District Council officers will discuss the problem at a committee meeting on March 11.
