Devon and Cornwall Police breathalysed 327 drivers over the festive period. Of those, 48 people were found to be over the drink-drive limit - four more than the same period last year. More than 80 calls were made to the Crimestoppers information line to tell police about suspected drink drivers. The force's traffic policy officer, Sergeant Andrew Webber, said it is up to everyone to help stop those who take to the road while over the alcohol limit.
