Cold Feet actor hurt in domestic dispute

John Thomson suffered a minor head injury
Cold Feet star John Thomson has been treated in hospital after a domestic dispute at his home.

Police were called to his house in Manchester in the early hours of Thursday.

The comic actor was taken to hospital with a minor head injury and later discharged.

Thomson shares the house in Burton Road, West Didsbury, with his partner Sam Sharp.

Best comedy

A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called at 2.30 (0230)... to a domestic dispute at an address on Burton Road, West Didsbury.

"A 33-year-old male occupant was taken by ambulance to Wythenshawe Hospital with a minor head injury and later discharged."

Cold Feet, which is set in Manchester, has been named best television comedy three times.

A fifth series is currently being planned for the end of this year.

Thomson was nominated for best television comedy actor at the 2001 British comedy awards.
