| Tuesday, 6 August, 2002, 16:00 GMT 17:00 UK Cold Feet actor admits drink driving ![]() John Thomson has appeared in Playing the Field One of the stars of the TV comedy drama Cold Feet has pleaded guilty to a charge of drink driving. John Thomson, who plays Pete Gifford in the hit ITV show, appeared at Trafford Magistrates Court in Greater Manchester. The case has been adjourned until 28 August for pre-sentencing reports. Thomson is also known for acting in tv commercials in which he crashes his car. The actor, of Didsbury in Greater Manchester, was stopped by police in Burton Road in the city on 4 August last year. Tests showed he had 87 micrograms of alcohol in 100 mililitres of blood, whereas the legal limit is 35.
