But she denied inventing the allegation she was raped at his Savoy Hotel apartment, the Old Bailey heard. Australian-born Mr Hann - the snooker world's number 14, denies rape on 18 October 2001. At his trial on Tuesday, the 21-year-old alleged victim denied she made the allegation up to get herself off the hook when her boyfriend found out she had been unfaithful.
The court heard on Monday Mr Hann had climbed into bed with a second woman after she left, but the alleged victim said she was unaware of this until hearing it in court. Sir Ivan Lawrence QC, defending Mr Hann, said he slept with the other woman 15 to 20 minutes later. But Sir Ivan told the alleged victim: "You had given him your telephone number, you had arranged to meet him for lunch the next day, you had kissed him goodbye before you left. Nightclub kisses "You would have been very angry [about the second woman], wouldn't you..?" The woman replied: "Not particularly." She told the court she felt guilty, because she had a boyfriend, about kissing Mr Hann when they met earlier at a nightclub. Sir Ivan suggested the woman "invented" the rape allegation in order to patch things up with her boyfriend. However, she disagreed and said Mr Hann had forced her to have sex, but agreed she had undressed and straddled Mr Hann. 'Just perfect' Mr Hann, 25, now living with his family in Hyde Park, central London. During a police interview, Mr Hann claimed the woman had been willing to sleep with him but within a few seconds had changed her mind saying she felt guilty about her boyfriend. He stopped and they talked for a further 15 minutes before she left. He said everything was "just perfect" as he said goodbye to the woman. "I don't know where all this comes from. I think maybe her friend went back and told her I was with another girl." The trial was adjourned until Wednesday. | See also: 24 Jun 02 | England Top England stories now: Links to more England stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
