The move aims to prevent the violence which marred the London's side's play-off defeat in May. About 900 Millwall fans went on the rampage outside the New Den after the 2 May loss to Birmingham, attacking police, burning cars and causing widespread property damage. Nearly 50 police officers were injured in the riot. Season ticket At a joint news conference on Tuesday, the club and police announced that supporters of Wolves, Burnley, Nottingham Forest, Stoke, Portsmouth and Leicester will not be allowed at the New Den ground next season. Also, four matches will be made all-ticket for away fans and will kick off at a time when at least one hour of daylight exists after the final whistle. These are the games involving Coventry, Derby, Reading and Crystal Palace. The club also confirmed that, in order to buy a ticket for any Millwall game, fans will have to be either season-ticket holders or members of the Millwall Supporters Club. "It is now almost six weeks since the appalling post-match violence following Millwall's play-off match with Birmingham City," the club said in a statement. Decent supporters "The damage to our reputation and its community relations is only exceeded by the physical injury and damage inflicted on the police and local community on that night. "All of us at Millwall Football Club repeat our deepest regret and sadness at the events after the match.
