Fraud losses 'cost �30bn a year'

New research suggests fraud costs the UK more than £30bn per year. The National Fraud Authority has produced the first official government estimate of fraudulent activities - from tax scams to identity theft.

The Authority says it equated to £621 per adult a year, and is mostly recovered through increased taxation.
