Parts of the north-west of England are experiencing flooding after heavy rain storms batter large parts of the UK.

Cumbria bore the brunt with the village of Shap witnessing 40mm (1.6in) in 12 hours and Keswick 30mm (1.2in) of rain.

Residents have been doing what they can to combat flooding as more rain is predicted.
