Royal Mail says union 'walked away'

Royal Mail's Operations Director Paul Tolhurst has told the BBC he was expecting the union to call off two days of strike action over pay, jobs, and modernisation.

Speaking as the stoppages began involving up to 120,000 staff, he said there had been an agreement on the table and the union had ''walked away''.
