Lockerbie bomber to be told fate

The only man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing is expected to learn whether he will be released from prison to return to Libya.

It is thought the Scottish justice secretary will free Abdelbasset al-Megrahi on compassionate grounds because he is dying from cancer.
