Lockerbie appeal 'should continue'

Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi, the man convicted of the 1988 Lockerbie bombing is expected to be released next week, the BBC understands.

Pamela Dix, secretary of the victims' group, UK Families Flight 103, gave her reaction to the news that Mr Megrahi who has a terminal illness may released on compassionate grounds.

She also said that in the event he were to be released, Mr Megrahi's appeal against his conviction should still continue to its logical conclusion.
