'Every day is literally fighting for your life'

Figures from the Ministry of Defence figures show that British forces in Afghanistan have suffered their highest injury rate this month since the mission began in 2001.

A total of 57 UK troops were wounded in action in the first two weeks of July alone.

July has also seen the most deaths - some 22 - since operations began.

Private Davey Graham left the Army after sustaining injuries to his chest and stomach in Helmand.
