'No new evidence' in phone tap case

An urgent review of allegations of phone tapping by the News of the World is being carried out by the Crown Prosecution Service.

It follows reports that the paper hired private investigators to hack into the phones of thousands of high-profile people.

But the police have been criticised after they said there would be no new criminal investigation into the claims.
