Tory leader, David Cameron, has been criticised for appointing a man at the centre of phone hacking allegations as the director of communications for the Conservative Party.
Andy Coulson resigned as editor of the News of the World two years ago after its royal editor was jailed for hacking into voicemails at Buckingham Palace.
The Lib Dem's home affairs spokesman Chis Huhne says the Tory leader David Cameron has made an "extraordinary lapse of judgement" in hiring Andy Coulson.
