Boris Johnson on tainted sources

Senior Labour and Liberal Democrat figures have said David Cameron's Director of Communications, Andy Coulson, should be fired after revelations about phone messages being intercepted by the News of the World.

The Guardian alleges up to 3,000 high profile figures were targeted by the paper Mr Coulson edited until 2007.

But Boris Johnson, conservative Mayor of London, said many great stories come from tainted sources.
