Is Prince Charles 'value for money'?

Taxpayers funded the work of the Prince of Wales to around £3m last year but he has reduced his private spending, according to Clarence House accounts.

The Prince is funded almost entirely by income from the private landholdings of the Duchy of Cornwell but his official visits are paid for by the taxpayer.
