Tougher checks for foreign students

Most of the suspects arrested after raids in north-west England are said to be Pakistani nationals on student visas.

The raids have prompted new questions about the way the visas are granted and the Conservatives are calling on the government to make urgent changes to security checks on visa applicants from countries linked to terrorist activity.
