BBC Tour calls up Cumbria talent
Whitehaven
The BBC tent will be in Whitehaven for the Maritime Festival
The hunt is on to find budding new reporters in Cumbria before BBC News & Sport On Tour rolls into Whitehaven.

The BBC roadshow will be at Whitehaven Harbour on 15-17 June to give local people a behind-the-scenes look at BBC News, Sport and Weather.

Visitors can try a host of activities, such as reading the news, doing sports commentating and radio presenting.

But the search has already begun for a talented local to appear on BBC Look North and publish an article online.

Some of the BBC's top national and regional TV and radio presenters will also be there in our custom-built studios to give you tips and advice.

You can also try at some of the technical roles involved in getting programmes on air and check out some of the interactive services the BBC has to offer.
