 Honours included the Queen Mother's coffin guardsmen
The work done by those involved in the funerals of the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret and in the year-long celebration of the Golden Jubilee has been recognised in a special honours list. All the honours, announced the day after the Queen Mother's birthday, are from the Royal Victorian Order, a decoration which is a personal award for services performed on behalf of the Sovereign. The full list is as follows: For services to the Queen Mother GCVO (Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order): - Earl of Crawford and Balcarres (Lord Chamberlain).
CVO (Commander of the Royal Victorian Order): - Hon Nicholas Assheton (Treasurer).
LVO (Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order): - Jennifer Gordon Lennox (Lady-in-Waiting);
