Paul Burrell, former butler to Diana, Princess of Wales, has been cleared of stealing hundreds of items from her estate.

The list of more than 300 items in question included:

• A writing desk inscribed "Presented by the City of Aberdeen to HRH The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer on the occasion of their marriage 29th July 1981".

  A card from David Hasselhoff was on the list

• One ceremonial sword in glass/wooden case
• Yellow metal scabbard with inscription
• A wooden sewing box and contents
• Eighteen ladies' handbags, some containing personal items such as Chanel silk shoes

  Clothing

• Versace green, blue and violet ball dress
• One lilac dress with beige hanger and Cellophane dust cover
• One black jacket with velvet collar and cuffs
• Nine hats

  Letters, photographs and CDs

• Over 100 photographs, including framed pictures of the Prince of Wales and Princess Diana
• Spencer family album and red leather album with name 'Diana' hand written on inside cover
• Photograph wallets and cellophane wraps containing hundreds of strips of negatives of photos including various members of Royal Family

  A memo from Diana to Prince Charles was among the items

• 28 CDs, most signed by Princess Diana
• 18 records including some by Supertramp, Leo Sayer and Abba
• Boxed set of recordings of Don Giovanni signed by Diana
• Memo from Diana to Prince Charles
• Letter from the Queen Mother to Diana
• Letter from Diana to the then prime minister John Major
• Letter from Mother Theresa to Diana
• Cards including several signed 'Mummy' and a card from Baywatch star David Hasselhoff to Prince William
