Chinese train becomes stuck in snowdrift

Around 1000 passengers had to spend 17 hours on board a train in China after it became stuck in deep snow.

All 15 carriages of the train became partially buried after the train hit a drift more than 2 metres deep in inner Mongolia.

The passengers were eventually rescued by a team of soldiers and a snow plough.
