As Pakistan prepares for a new phase of its offensive against the Taliban in the tribal region of South Waziristan, the two million people displaced in the two month old offensive in the Swat Valley still face an uncertain future.
Medical problems, lack of water and poor living conditions are rife, but many refuse to return home, scared of being caught up in the violence.
Mike Wooldridge reports from the biggest displacement camp, Jalozai, near Peshawar.
