At least nine members of the same family were killed on Friday when a passenger train hit their bus in eastern India. The accident, at Kanki in a northern area of West Bengal state, left about 28 people injured.
The bus was carrying the family to a marriage ceremony when it was hit on an unmanned crossing, reports say.
Railway officials warn the death toll could rise because some of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
Officials in Bengal's northern district of Uttar Dinajpur said five of the family died immediately and four later succumbed to their wounds in hospital.
The BBC's Subir Bhaumik in Calcutta says level crossings in India are supposed to be manned but often are not.
