The Virtual Campaign: Spoof Sites

All The Links That Fit

Let the Daily Politics' Internet Correspondent Alan Connor take your hand and guide you through the e-election.

It can be difficult trying to find political information online. To find the Labour Party's manifesto, do you go to Labour Dot Com? Maybe New Hyphen Labour Dot Co Dot UK?

And what makes things far more confusing are the number of spoof websites and misleading addresses out there.

Satirical sites are one thing - in fact, the funny ones are a welcome addition to the political arena. But as we talked about on The Daily Politics this week, the parties have started adopting the same techniques.

They're all at it, and Labour have even gone so far as to employ Zack Exley, the infamous American cybersquatter.

Read my column on cybersquatting here.

So, as promised on the show, we'd like to offer you a list of the parties running in this election, which you can browse without fear of running into a spoof site set up as a lame campaigning prank.

If we've missed out your party, or if you find that any of the links have died, do let us know by emailing daily.politics@bbc.co.uk

Happy browsing!
