Remembrance Sunday in Afghanistan

Lt General Jim Dutton: "The vast majority of policemen are doing a good job in Afghanistan...there is always going to be the odd one or two rogues"

The most senior British general in Afghanistan says the murder of five soldiers this week will not be the last atrocity of its kind.

Jon Sopel has been in Kabul talking to the the Deputy ISAF Commander Lt General Jim Dutton.

Earlier this month the government announced that 500 more forces personnel will be sent to Afghanistan, but only if key conditions were met.

There are currently about 9,000 UK personnel in the country.

In an exclusive interview for the Politics Show, Gen Dutton told presenter Jon Sopel that the deaths were "a terrible shock".

He said it would lead to an increased sense of mistrust, initially at least, between British and Afghan forces.

But he asked for the deaths to be "seen in perspective".

The show is coming live from Camp Bastion in Afghanistan, and will be following tributes around the UK to the armed forces as part of Remembrance Sunday.

The full interview with General Dutton can be seen on the Politics Show, BBC1, Sunday 8th November, 1215 GMT.
