When will the removals guys turn up?

Hello again...

Well, gosh, this is... you know... it.

After years of speculation, with the last set of Blair elections behind us, we can now say with certainty that we are on the cusp of a new political era.

Next week, Mr Blair will announce his resignation, and tell us exactly when he's going.

The hand of history is poised to leap off the shoulder of Mr Blair and onto... well, everything points to Mr Brown's shoulder, but you just never can tell in politics.

So what kind of party will Gordon Brown inherit?

John Reid will tell us what they are thinking at party level...

Is Labour in meltdown after a disappointing set of local election results?

We'll be reflecting on the results of Thursday's elections and looking ahead towards the Gordon Brown premiership.

I'll be kicking over the traces with the Home Secretary and all round political big beast, John Reid.

At the time of writing, it's unclear whether Labour or the SNP will come out as the largest party in Scotland.
