Ask many people in the South East about how they view their local Conservative Party and a very traditional picture emerges invoking images of garden parties and dinner dances with women in print frocks and men in blazers.
Often inaccurate, it is though a vision that persists and it is one that David Cameron is determined to change...
Here are some of your comments...
I am essentially a Liberal Conservative who votes Liberal at Local Elections, and either Liberal or Conservative at a General Election.
I am not interested in A lists-what I want is confidence the Conservative Party will actually change anything.
The local Conservative Councils do not give me any confidence-they just blame the Government for lack of money when they do not deliver-and the Conservatives are very silent on the NHS crisis in Mid Sussex and Surrey-how can the Princess Royal be downgraded for example with East Surrey in the mess it is in. All David Cameron appears to be offering is touchy feeling politics coupled with better Management-I feel tougher management is required not less-at the moment Ming Campbell has more answers then he does.

My Tory vote will go to U K I P.

The Medway councillor should take Cameron's job as he spoke for the real conservative.

There is no such thing as positive discrimination! Absolutely women & minorities got a raw deal in the past, but 2 wrongs don't make a right!

David Cameron is the man giving hope to young people, who are desperate to see the back of New Labour.

Cameron would be a useless leader. He only cares about himself and Tories!

All we ask is no more lies from any party I was labour but I now like David Cameron
