| Seroxat advice and helplines ![]() Here is a list of organisations and advicelines who deal with Seroxat and mental health problems. MIND Mind is the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. It works for a better life for people diagnosed, labelled or treated as mentally ill. It does this through campaigning, community development, training, publishing, and a comprehensive information service. (Mind does not cover Scotland and focuses on mental health problems rather than learning difficulties. Mind Mind Cymru ruralMinds Patients Information Line This is a service run by the Maudsley Hospital. This line is only applicable to patients who are on a prescribed medication for a mental health problem and offers information on side-effects. Tel: 0207 919 2999 SUPPORTLINE P.O. Box 1596 SupportLine is a telephone helpline which provides confidential emotional support to children, young adults and adults on any issue. Some of the issues which they receive calls on relate to relationships, family problems, child abuse, eating disorders, self harm, mental health, anger and stress. SANE 1st Floor SANE provides a national telephone helpline offering information and support for anyone coping with mental health problems. CITA Tel: 0151 286 9884 This is a registered charity giving national cover. CITA support those who wish to withdraw from Benzodiazepine tranquillisers, sleeping tablets and anti depressants. They endeavour to raise awareness in society to the problems of addiction to prescribed drugs, but especially tranquillisers and sleeping tablets by campaigning and by giving talks, running workshops and sending out literature. They also have extensive information on SSRI's such as Prozac. PROZAC and ANTIDEPRESSANTS ALERT NETWORKS (PANTS) Email: [email protected] DEPRESSION ALLIANCE 35 Westminster Bridge Road A UK charity offering information to people with depression, run by sufferers. ADVERSE PSYCHIATRIC REACTIONS LINK (APRIL) PO Box 2082 In the light of the expected large volume of calls April on this occasion would prefer people to write in for information. This is a small charity who would appreciate a small donation to cover the cost of postage for a factsheet with information and a list of support groups. April supports and gives information to anyone suffering from adverse drug reactions, interractions and withdrawal symptoms - to any medication or anaesthesia. They specialise in the area of psychiatric side effects. SAMARITANS Helpline: 08457 90 90 90 - local rates The Samaritans is a registered charity giving National cover including Ireland. They aim to provide confidential emotional support for people in crisis. Contact can be by phone or post. Information is dispatched free of charge. CARELINE Cardinal Heenan Centre A national confidential counselling line for children, young people and adults on any issue including family, marriage and relationships problems, child abuse, rape and sexual assault, depression and anxiety. |
