Two brothers aged 11 and 12 have been sentenced to an indefinite time in custody for the "prolonged and sadistic" torture of two other boys in Edlington, in South Yorkshire.

As we reported earlier this week a review of the case, leaked to Newsnight, suggested that there were warning signals going back years and as many as 31 occasions when someone could have intervened.
