Edlington attack 'could have been prevented'

A brutal attack on two young boys in Edlington, South Yorkshire, in April 2009 could have been prevented, according to a review of the way social agencies dealt with the brothers who attacked them.

The brothers, who were aged 10 and 11, will be sentenced later this week. They subjected their victims to an ordeal so severe that many of the details will never be made public.

Liz MacKean reports.
