Money Box wins award

The awards night was held in central London

BBC Radio 4's Money Box has been named Financial Programme of the Year, at the Association of British Insurers, Financial Media Awards 2009.

Paul Lewis and programme producer Lesley McAlpine collected the award at a ceremony in London on Thursday.

"I am delighted that the insurance industry has again recognised that Money Box is the best financial programme on radio or TV," Paul Lewis said.

"And it's a credit to the whole team."

It is the fourth time that the programme has scooped the award.

Paul Lewis was also nominated as broadcaster of the year in the same category.
