Paul Lewis collected the award on Thursday |
BBC Radio 4's Money Box has been named Best Radio Programme at the 2008 Voice of the Listener and Viewer Awards. Paul Lewis collected the award on behalf of the programme team at a ceremony in London on Thursday. Voice of The Listener & Viewer represents consumer interests and speaks for listeners and viewers on broadcasting issues. Paul Lewis said of the prize: "It is good to win it this year. Because we go out on Saturday we have to bring something different and new. "I think Money Box is sharper and more investigative than it's ever been." Earlier in the week Paul Lewis was named runner up in the Personal Finance Broadcaster of the Year category at the Headline Money awards. The judges said Paul Lewis "has done more than any other broadcaster to explain how the credit crunch affects people".
