Speaking to IMPACT's Karin Gianonne about the Charles Taylor verdict Geoffrey Rorbertson QC said that his conviction will serve as notice of intent to Sudan's president Omar al-Bashir that he will be brought to justice.

Geoffrey Rorbertson, a senior barrister in the UK, served as the first President of the Special Court in Sierra Leone. It was under his authority that Charles Taylor was first indicted in March 2003.

The verdict against Liberia's former leader Charles Taylor is the first against a former head of state by a world court since the Nuremberg trials after World War II.
