On Breakfast with Frost this morning, Sir David Frost spoke to the Prime Minister, Tony Blair on a range of issues. Mr Blair said he expected the economy to be the "key battleground" for the next general election, but gave no clue as to the date. He also promised more money for teachers in tough areas and defended multi-million pound incomes to political parties by saying that Labour had already acted to clean up politics.

David James, chairman of the Millennium Dome, also talked to Sir David about the difficult task of bringing the Dome to solvent liquidation, within a limited budget, and said how much he had appreciated the support of the chief executive, P-Y Gerbeau.
