Pope Benedict XVI has been met by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank town of Bethlehem, as he continues his tour of the Middle East.
In a speech, the Pope made renewed calls for a "just and lasting peace" between Israelis and Palestinians.
